Bloody Sunday in Gamerco raises gun and knife attacks
In Gamerco a 17 year old, Jeremy Daniels, was stabbed at a 2 30 am party and 30 year old Ruben Lujan was shot at 11 30 am. Investigators search for a link while Assistant District Attorney Michael Sanchez notes the crimes may be unrelated. Daniels remains in stable condition. Lujan is in critical condition.

Navajo Housing hearings delayed by committee action
WINDOW ROCK The Navajo Nation Council Government Services Committee postponed three day oversight hearings into the Navajo Housing Authority. Chair Ervin Keeswood said more information is needed and memos have been sent to NFIA. Subpoenas were issued for six NHA employees to obtain documents including financial records of Chester Carl and Ralph Redhair.

Navajo Families to Get Homes on Hopi Partition Lands
Two Navajo families on Hopi Partition Lands will move into new homes in January funded by the Navajo Rehabilitation Trust Fund. Gallup police report three burglaries including home invasion
Gallup and McKinley County deputies report three unrelated burglaries Friday. Karen Daily, 17, was assaulted at her McKinley Street home around 7 40 p m as four men stole a VCR, Nintendo, a video game system and a portable stereo with headphones. Descriptions note ages 17 to 20, possibly American Indian, with two men wearing blue black and red flannel shirts. No suspects yet. A laptop was later reported stolen from Cedar Animal Clinic.
