Camera gear stolen from relief worker in Tuba City
In Tuba City Arizona on December 16 camera equipment valued at 625 dollars was stolen from World Emergency Relief photographer Mark Cooley who was documenting On-Track Ministry donations. The loss was reported to Navajo police after three intoxicated locals visited St Jude s Parish Hall. The gear includes a gray blue Tone Pro bag Nikon body and lens 90 300 Tamron lens a Vivitar light meter and misc items. Brown urged trading posts and pawn shops to watch for the equipment and asked anyone with information to contact the Tuba City Police Department.

Gallup guard wins new trial on rape convictions
Ferlin Platero, a former Gallup Security Service guard, earns a new trial after the 10th Circuit orders cross examination of the woman about her relationship with a man in her car during the Sept. 1, 1992 incident. The appeals court says the pretrial records show they were likely romantically involved and the trial judge erred by blocking relevant cross examination. The incident occurred outside Gallup and the defense says the sex was consensual.

Drunk Driver Hits Sheriff Deputy in Gallup Incident
A drunk driver struck McKinley County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony Sandoval while he investigated a minor crash on New Mexico 608 near the flea market.
