Semi Accident Stalls U S 66 Traffic
A large semi crashed into a parked trailer on U S 66 at Boardman Gallup injuring two and halting traffic for about three hours. Neal Lee Britton of Oakland California lost control, severed a utility pole and overturned, blocking both westbound lanes and triggering detours while crews repaired the pole and street light. Tory police directed traffic from 2 45 p m until after 7 p m. Britton and passenger Weldon Spellman were treated and released.

Three men Kenneth Yazzie John Atene and Gene King were indicted by the district grand jury for burglary tied to the Dec 9 theft at Gallup Auto Parts.
