Police Check Thefts In Gallup Reported At Two Sites
Entertainment appliances were stolen in two incidents. A $350 cassette tape deck vanished from an apartment on West Hill Street, and a color television was ripped from its mounting at the Cactus Motel. Two shoplifting arrests followed a Yellow Front incident involving sunglasses. A 4-year-old Gallup boy reportedly placed a $29 purse in a shopping bag without paying. A two-vehicle collision at Second Street and Maloney Avenue left injuries but no treatment sought. Police also arrested three and placed one in protective custody.
