Santa Claus Brings Home for Corpsmen at Blue Jay Center
In Marianna Pennsylvania the Blue Jay Job Corps center will send 77 corpsmen home for Christmas after locals donated 1600 dollars. Corpsmen, including 19 year old James Coleman of Berlin New Jersey, earned six fifty weekly and faced six months away from camp without travel funds. Wes Woombs organized the drive. Murray Hartshorn noted many private home invites were offered but funds and tickets were the decisive factor. The corpsmen will depart Tuesday and return after New Year’s Day.
