Area Cobra teens face murder charges in Navajo man killing
Two Fort Defiance youths alleged Cobra gang members were indicted for first degree murder in the 1995 killing of Chandler Damon Bitsuie near the Fort Defiance Chapter House. Investigators say the victim was stabbed more than 60 times and disposed of in a wash area after a confrontation.

Veterans to be honored at Navajo dinner in Tuba City
In Tuba City Arizona a 11 a m Saturday dinner at the boarding school cafeteria will honor veterans widows of veterans and Gold Star mothers. The Native American Vietnam Veterans Association sponsors the event with a $400 Navajo Nation Veterans Office grant. A flag will be awarded to a widow in Vietnam’s war. Eddie Sidney a Hopi officer with Arizona Department of Public Safety will receive a commemorative flag. A toy drive and military display are planned.
