Firefighters saved puppies. investigators deem the cause electrical and still under review. Tuba City meet examines economics

In Tuba City Arizona the Local Governance Act and its economic impact will be discussed at a Tuba City Focused Futures Action Team meeting from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Bureau of Indian Affairs conference room. Tony Skrelanus will explain the act giving more authority to Navajo Nation chapters. The group works on a strategic economic development plan under APS guidance and funding.

Navajo police seek escapees from Window Rock center

Navajo Nation police search for three escapees who fled the Window Rock Detention Center after overpowering an officer Saturday. Four inmates escaped through the front office gate. three others were captured by Monday. Officer endured minor injuries in the struggle. Murder, fighting occupy tribal cops

Navajo police arrested a 32 year old woman in Dilkon after a fatal stabbing at a party near Navajo Route 60. The victim was 21 year old Nathaniel Dixon. Yvonne Dixon was charged with aggravated battery as detectives continue the homicide probe. Separately, Crownpoint police arrested 24 year old Daniel Padilla after he allegedly assaulted his mother and set a dwelling on fire in Chaco Canyon.

Gallup Police arrest unprepared gunman

Gallup Police Lt Amos Hinshaw arrested Cleavon Williams 20 of Gallup after Williams stated if his gun had been loaded the officer would be dead. Williams backed toward a car and a handgun was found in the vehicle. He faces three counts of aggravated assault and drinking as a minor.
