A Gallup-McKinley County school bus left the Interstate 40 frontage road near Mentmore this morning, veered off and crashed onto its left side. The uninjured driver was taken to Rehoboth-McKinley Christian Hospital-West. officials will review possible medical causes. A witness said the bus was westbound just before 9 am, with the bus struck a ditch about one mile west of Mentmore.
An $18,000 overhaul of the Harold Runnels Complex is near completion with city and county sharing costs. Tiling covers showers main pool and diving well while cracks in the main pool floor are repaired. Work on the diving well begins today as the pool director notes fast progress.
