Rev. Jerome Hesse 88 a Franciscan priest who led Gallup's Franciscan order and Sacred Heart Cathedral will have a funeral mass Friday in Santa Fe. Born in Germany he came to the United States at 18 and was ordained in 1908. He served at Pena Blanca Navajo Indian Mission St Michael's Ariz and Gallup before retiring to Pena Blanca then Santa Fe where he died Tuesday and will be buried in Rosario I Cemetery.
