The Shalako ceremony at Zuni Pueblo drew 400 to 600 cars and 50 to 60 people at Juan and Myra Quale's home as the feast ran through the night. California families attended a reunion in Gallup, courtesy of Steve Pappas, with mutual acquaintances recalling Kramer Moylan families. Nick Kilpatrick, now in Albuquerque, bagged a 645 pound Hepe on Mt. Taylor last Wednesday while hunting with Frank Iskra of Gallup.

State police officer F Gifford pursued a high speed vehicle before it left the road. Scott suffered a cut head and bruised shoulder and faced DWI reckless driving and speeding charges.

Man Found Dead In Gallup Alley
Leo Benson, 78, of Manuelito, was found dead in an alley behind Dominic Pomponi’s home at 606 West Mesa around 7 45 a m Saturday. Police investigated as a reported drunk or dead person. Benson was identified by Mrs Richard Garcia of 619 West Mesa. Cause of death unknown.

Sixth Weekend Wrecks Claim Five Lives in New Mexico
Six fatalities occurred on New Mexico roads over the weekend with one more death reported.
