Permits Available for Personal Christmas Trees in Gallup District
Gallup Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest sells pine, juniper, and fir permits for 1 each. Permit location is two miles south of Paul Merrill's Fort Wingate Trading Post at the old Sheep Lab. Trees may be cut away from designated areas and 150 feet from paved roads. Office hours weekends 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Christmas. Rangers will patrol to ensure permits are carried.
