Police chased a stolen 1997 Grand Cherokee from Leesburg Virginia to Gallup New Mexico. The Jeep rolled on County Road 1 near Talayantte after a $16.50 gasoline purchase at a Continental Divide Chevron. Teens Lawrence Veal and Ray were runaways from Leesburg. both were lightly injured, with Veal experiencing asthma issues. The Jeep, valued at $32,000 with only 2,500 miles, was one of three stolen from Dulles Jeep Eagle Subaru on Thanksgiving. Authorities will extradite them to Virginia on felony possession charges.
