Woman killed near Fruitland in pickup crash
A Shiprock woman Charlotte Joe, 25, died after stepping into the path of a pickup on U.S. 64 near Fruitland New Mexico at about 7 30 p m Monday. She died about 30 minutes later at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. Police also reported Richard Chavez, 28, of no address, died Thursday after apparently walking into the back of a moving pickup in Albuquerque on November 27.
