Gallup woman shot to death at convenience store
Gallup police report Wilma Barton a 39 year old convenience store worker died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Live in boyfriend Ben Johnson 46 confessed to shooting Barton and is hospitalized with a knee wound. He drove to the detention center to report the incident and officers guard him at the hospital while they search for the weapon. The shooting likely occurred before 6 am at the Pronto Fina station area. Police said the couple had an extended living arrangement and dated for years.

Two-truck collision injures two in Gallup
A Wednesday afternoon crash at Third Street and Maloney Avenue involved a green light driver William Hoedebeck and a red light driver Delores Silver.
