UNM Gallup hosted its annual Holiday Magic program in Gurley Hall to thank the community for support. About 1,000 children and parents attended as volunteers from the university, including student senators, provided face painting, cookie decorating, corsage making, and performances by Zuni flute player Fernando Celicio, pianist Dennis Cress, baton twirlers, and singers.

Eastburn to hear Shirley drunken driving case in Gallup
State District Judge Benjamin Eastburn of Aztec was assigned to hear the misdemeanor case against Rep. Albert Shirley of Church Rock for driving while intoxicated and marijuana possession.
