City Manager Paul McCollum unveils a major reorganization to run Gallup more like a business. The plan cuts direct reports to the manager, creates a new community services director and internal auditor, and shifts duties across finance planning and public works. Don Jordan becomes administrative assistant and acting city manager in McCollum’s absence. a new internal auditor will report to council through a committee.

Cecilia Rosales Masters and father to two-week-old Justin.
The Gallup McKinley County Chamber of Commerce plans a September membership drive with Glen Benefield and Tom Batson named as opposing team captains. President Sharon Richards urges dues collection, open-end billing, and a budget-stable plan. Committees will set a kickoff breakfast and a victory dinner.
