Zuni Lt Governor on Administrative Leave After Third DWI

Zuni Pueblo Lt. Gov. Willard Zunie, 58, was arrested in Albuquerque for a third DWI. He is placed on administrative leave without pay pending a thorough review of the report. He previously faced two prior DWI arrests and was booked at the Bernalillo Metropolitan Detention Center.

Tiffin Cibola County Court Security Incident

In Tiffin Cibola County an incident at a residence on 200 block of Nein Drive escalated to an argument between two men. Terrazas reportedly drew a service weapon, fired no shots, and fled after police arrived to find him at the front of the residence. See Gun incident, Page.

Alex Redhorse 20 sits in a preliminary hearing at McKinley County Courthouse as his Albuquerque attorney asks for a trial postponement. Judge Grant Foutz reschedules to February 7 after Deputy DA Jim Bierly says a delay is acceptable. Redhorse faces first degree murder and tampering charges in the deaths of Dusty Rye and Alex Armijo whose bodies were found in the Cibola National Forest in April.

Grandmother recalls Old Zuni Drive-In fears on flooded road

Bill Donovan and Shirley Charley recall their grandmother warning children to be careful on the Old Zuni Drive-In Road in the 1950s. The flood halts traffic near the junction of NM 556 and NM 118, closing the road late Sunday into Monday. Nelson Yazzie of the NM Highway Department notes the danger and disruption.
