Navajo election takedown faces court bid for TRO

Ten Navajo citizens led by Council Delegate Edison Wauneka filed for a temporary restraining order to halt the Sept. 5 general election. Pueblos protest loss of Indian education funds at meeting

Governors of two pueblos led a protest over a $140,000 Title IX Indian education funding shortfall caused by a clerical error in Grants Cibola County Schools. Man dragged by truck dies on Navajo Reservation

Three more people died in Navajo traffic incidents including a Shiprock man killed after being dragged a mile by a moving pickup on Route 36. Witnesses name Andy Tallby and Kavin Brown, while two others, Olin Charles and Scott L. Joe, died in a rollover on Route 9 near Crownpoint with alcohol involved.
