A female clerk at Burger King on East 66th Avenue reported a gunpoint holdup at about 11 15 p m Wednesday night the second armed robbery at the same restaurant this summer. Police described the suspect as a Mexican man in his late 20s five feet ten inches tall about 180 pounds wearing a black CAT baseball cap a T shirt and blue jeans. A small blue vehicle was seen leaving the scene and detectives are handling the case.
An 11 year old Gallup youth was placed in Juvenile Contention Center after police said he tried to steal a dirt bike. Mary Maldonado reported a boy in her shed. officers captured him with pliers in hand and a partially cut bike chain. He made rude comments during arrest and predicted he would be out before counting to ten.
