The exhibit hall opens today 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with amphitheater acts 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a Powwow 1 p.m. to midnight in the west arena. Turquoise Classic Thunder 2 to 4 30 p.m. main arena, Queen Coronation 7 30 p.m., Indian Dance 8 to 10 p.m. main arena. Country Western dance 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Brian Mitchell Recreation Center. Sunday hours include grounds 6 30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Half Marathon 7 a.m. Exhibit hall 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Powwow dancing 10 a.m. to noon west arena. Amphitheater 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Finals 12 to 4 p.m. west arena Navajo Song and Dance finals 12 to 4 p.m. song arena Turquoise Classic Thunder PBR 7 to 9 p.m. Fred Fock Park wellness noted.

New Mexico Archaeology Fair heads to Grants Oct 12-13
New Mexico Archaeology Fair returns to Grants for a two day event on October 12 and 13 at the city hall park. State Archaeologist Glenna Dean teams with the Grants/Cibola County Chamber of Commerce the Mining Museum and the New Mexico Heritage Preservation Alliance to present displays and activities for all ages.
