Nanabah Aragon, a Gallup area Navajo educator and weaver in her mid 60s, is honored as the 2007 Living Treasure by the Gallup Inter-Tribal Ceremonial Association. Born near Steamboat, Arizona, she learned carding spinning and weaving from her mother, recalling a time of skill, patience and spirituality.

Firefighter teams compete at Milan Tri-State convention
Nearly 300 firefighters from Colorado and New Mexico gathered in Milan for the Tri-State Fireman's Association Convention and Competition. Fifteen teams, mostly volunteer departments with Gallup and Grants teams, tested teamwork and safety drills while families watched.
