Murder suspects waived hearing in Zuni homicide case
Nelson Yatsattic age 34 of Gallup and Anthony Kaamasee age 22 of Zuni waived preliminary hearings and face second degree murder and evidence tampering charges. They are held on a $50,000 cash bond in McKinley County Detention. Franklin Chavez 45 of Zuni was found dead near the downtown train station with wounds and a plastic restrained body, linked to a July 6 altercation at a north side campsite. A third suspect remains at large.
