Subpoenas Target Navajo Hopi Health Officials
Executive Director Rosalyn T. Curtis and staff in the Rock Twenty-two Division of Health faced subpoenas from the Health and Social Services Committee for budget hearings. Testimony and documents were demanded at 10 a.m. in the Division of Health conference room, delaying meetings with Community Health and Behavioral Health programs. Committee chair Genévieve Jackson issued the subpoenas late Wednesday night as part of the budget development process after two days of Social Services budget hearings totaling 2.9 million dollars. The delay followed unsettled quorum concerns and a tense morning as staff waited for guidance.
