In Farmington a 7-foot long mountain lion approached a yard near the Williams family. Don Williams 17 and Rhonda Hollar 14 witnessed the animal as it leaped into a cottonwood and was shot by Jack Hollar after the cat roared its eyes been seen 35 feet up the tree. The cat fell after two head shots and lay dead at the scene.
