Nine culinary arts students at Crownpoint Institute of Technology beat chefs from across New Mexico in the Eighth Annual Chocolate Fantasy fundraiser. More than 800 people paid $100 tickets to attend, voting the CIT students' entry as The People's Choice. Tsaile men killed in crash on Lukachukai road
Two Tsaile men died in a Thursday afternoon crash on BIA Route 12 near Lukachukai after their car left the road and struck a juniper tree. Witnesses saw a near head on collision with another vehicle before the car flipped. Surviving occupants were Larry Deschine and Roland Belone, both from Tsaile, while the deceased were Stanley Litson and Max Notah, also from Tsaile. Police seek to determine which driver was at fault.

Driver charged with three deaths in Gallup chase
