New Holland Lions Club hosted thirty six Farmers from the area for an evening of entertainment led by President C W Richmond. Highlights included a past president's button presentation, anti-prohibition emblem moments, a Boyd Band trumpet quartet, and a motion picture history of the harvesting machine by the International Harvester Company. The event featured speeches by Rev C G Bachman and Charles Zwally, plus a roll call of local guests and last year's Farmers Day winners. Chief C B Sanford Scout Executive of Lancaster County and Sumner V Hosterman President of the County Boy Scout Council will attend the dedication of a newly constructed cabin next Tuesday evening. Lions Club President Dr C W Richmond represents the club which helped erect the former cabin seven years ago. The cabin lies in the grove behind Clayton S Overly at Green Bank in the woods and is easily accessible.

Charles E. Cowan of the Inter-State Milk Producers Association announces October milk prices for farmers shipping to Philadelphia will hold. An arbitration panel led by Dr Clyde L King sets consumer prices at 10 cents per quart for regular milk and 13 cents for grade A. No friction existed between producers and dealers.

The fourth series of stock of the New Holland Building and Loan Association will mature and be paid on Saturday October 1 in the amount of 825,000. The association has paid out 82 555 00 for matured stock to stockholders during the last two years. It has earned 7 12 per cent after expenses. The association invests stockholders money in first mortgages on real estate. It has helped 75 families build homes in New Holland and vicinity.
