Anniversary of Presbyterian Church Celebrated in 1899
Fifty years ago on a Thursday in September 1899 the congregation gathered for an anniversary service at the Poques parent church of Cedar Grove Leacock and Bellevue. A dinner was served in the surrounding grove for worshippers and the editor notes he received a copy of Luther's Small Catechism with Questions and Answers prepared by Rev. G. H. Tra. King's Daughters Vote Contribution to Aid Home for the Age
The Loyal Workers Circle of King's Daughters met at St. Stephen Reformed Church with Mrs. C. W. Good in charge. The Bible study was led by Mrs. R. E. Whitmore and songs were performed by Mrs. R. E. Obituary Mahlon M. Good 73 East Earl Mennonite member
Mahlon M. Good, seventy three, East Barl East Earl R 1 died at his home Tuesday at 9 am after a lingering illness. He was a son of the late Martin and Catherine Martin Good and a member of the Goodville Mennonite Church. Surviving are his wife Lydia Ann Hollinger Good a son Paul East Earl R 1 five grandchildren one sister Annie Weber and two brothers Eli H and Harvey, all of East Earl R 1. Funeral services will be held from the Goodville Mennonite Church today Friday at 2 o'clock. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
