A public meeting in East Earl Caernarvon Salisbury and surrounding townships set Farmers Day for Friday and Saturday October 21. Tri County Council Meets Here At Paoli Meeting
The Tri County Council of the Ladies Auxiliaries of Legion Posts in Chester Delaware and Lancaster counties met at St Stephen Reformed Church in Paoli for its semiannual session. About 160 delegates attended with a luncheon served by Conestoga Post No 662 Auxiliary. Mrs Stern opened the meeting and speakers described Rossmere Sanitorium needs and Perry Point Hospital work while the council pledged support and donated 10000 to furnish a reception room. A coin contest raised 25 dollars for Rossmere and gifts were exchanged with local officials and attendees. The next meeting is planned for Paoli in December.

New Holland Machine Company announces its Hammer Feed Mill now ready for market. The mill uses manganese steel hammers at 2000 RPM and features Alemite lubrication, Fafner bearings, and reinforced construction. Major William D. Grant of the U S Army Aviation Department led the New Holland Lions Club through an imaginary 20 000 foot flight at the Boy Scout Hut during the semi monthly meeting. He described the ascent over cities from Lancaster to Washington D C and noted aviation science features before the gathering. Wayne Ranck and Watson Morris were initiated as new members.
