Dr John A Hoffman sixty seven died in Lancaster General hospital after months of illness. A native of Adams county he practiced in New Holland for about 38 years and was active in real estate Masonry Lions Club and local church. Survived by widow two daughters one grandchild and several siblings. Funeral Friday at 2 30 PM from Esbenshade funeral home New Holland with private burial in New Holland Lutheran Cemetery.

Robbers Take $3 000 Value of Winter Suits at Rubinson’s
Thieves broke into the Rubinson Department Store early Sunday, stealing about 140 men’s winter suits valued over $3,000 and a small amount of cash. They entered by cutting a window glass and moved through racks selecting high value garments.
