Registered Shoot Set For Saturday By New Holland Rod and Gun Club
The New Holland Rod and Gun Club will hold a registered shoot Saturday at the club grounds four miles southeast of the borough near Gap New Holland State road at Peters Road intersection. Pony Fatally Injured in Runaway Accident
Edward Mersky son of Mr and Mrs Jacob Mersky of this borough lost his pet pony Dusty which ran away and dashed into a telephone pole on East Main Street. Edward was driving the pony hitched to a small cart when frightened by a boy. The pony suffered a broken front ankle and injuries to both rear legs and had to be dispatched. Edward escaped with scratches.
