Demonstration of Chemical Engine On Blue Ball Farm
On Wednesday evening a demonstration of a chemical engine was held on the farm of D W Geist at Blue Ball. A large quantity of oxen barrels boards and other material was piled fifteen feet high above the engine. The exhibition featured an eight second fire test with flames and the apparatus valued around 800 for fire fighting gear. The company is led by several prominent town and community citizens.

Largest Lancaster County Fair Promises Record Exhibits
The Lancaster fair grounds undergo major renovations ahead of the last week of September fair. A new 86 by 200 foot tile exhibition building, more ticket offices and turnstiles, extensive cattle sheds, and a remodeled barn to display horses and poultry are underway. The association expects high turnout with prize money and free school visits Tuesday. Exhibitors may request premium lists from Secretary I C Arnold in Lancaster or Willis R Knox in Intercourse.
