The temporary chairman of the Business Men’s group has formed a nominating committee to present names for nine directors at the AmVets Hall on Tuesday September 19 at 9 p m. The By-Laws will be read and adopted if unchanged. Members were highly engaged at the first meeting and the committee includes diverse New Holland business sectors. After By-Laws adoption the committee will propose officers and floor nominations. Each candidate must consent to serve if elected. A permanent group name and first project will be announced and adopted. With fall starting, all area businesses are urged to attend.

Boy Scouts Scrap Drive Tuesday Plans

Local residents not yet on the voting list may register at the county courthouse. Only six more New Holland residents have registered at the count house to vote in November elections. A special registration day is set for September 12 with hours 10 am to 3 pm and 7 pm to 10 pm. County officials report 1076 New Holland residents are registered while about 1300 could be eligible.
