The final festival of the season for this county section takes place Saturday evening on Storb Field North Custer Avenue. Proceeds go to reduce the band uniforms debt and fund rehearsals. Reg Kehoe and his girl marimba band join the program with a varied lineup of music and attractions. Cash prizes totaling 100 arrive in hourly and final drawings, with prefered weather contingency set for the following Wednesday.

Local Flier Improves After Harrisburg Plane Crash
Maurice Bowman of Harrisburg, a Penn Harris airport pilot, is recovering from a broken arm and multiple cuts after a plane piloted by Bernard Woutensz crashed on the Central High School roof during the Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial Bridge dedication. Bowman has begun sitting up and plans to return home soon. Woutensz faces air law violation charges with a September 16 hearing and was released on $300 bail after hospital treatment.
