Earl Township Bus Routes Announced for Earl Township District
High School students from Earl Township will ride to Upper Leacock High School under Elmer Witmer and Sons for a contract approved by the School Board. Routes north of New Holland Pike start at Marvin Brubaker’s Route 28 residence and proceed via Linden Grove to Hinkletown, then to New Holland Pike. Pupils south of the pike are to Maurice Sheaffer for Western schoolhouse. Other routes repeat last year’s pattern. Traffic halts in both directions when buses stop in designated zones.

The Ephrata plant of Penn Dairies begins a remodeling program led by Plant Manager Wayne Hieberlig. Upgrades include a new front and Dairy Service Unit on the first floor, modern offices, a fully automatic can washer, and a new receiving department with stainless steel tanks for pasteurization and bottling.
