Miss Amanda Bell, the Petersburg post mistress, found the office burgled on Wednesday morning after Tuesday night’s quiet break in. Thieves bored holes in a window shutter and opened a drawer with six to seven dollars and similar postage stamps missing. A parcel mailed to Margie Gochenour in Philadelphia by her mother was stolen along with a few papers and other small items. Some papers were recovered near the Dillerville public school. Two suspicious men seen loitering in Petersburg Monday are missing and believed to be the robbers.
Mrs. Mary A Killian widow of the Intersane Killian of Mechanicsburg died Monday night at her son M D Killian 251 East Ross Street Lancaster after years of infirmity. Survived by children Chris Van Florny wife of David Keemer Tinae Little Falls Minn Kate wife of Henry Nicholas York and Manlius Co with whom she made her home. The funeral was held Thursday from her late home with services in Mechanicsburg at 2 o clock where interment was made.
John H Gehman of Bie Ball this week sold at private sale three acres of land with improvements known as Wallace's store for 81075 to Mrs Annie L Diller widow of the late A Newton Diller vie.

A minor blaze broke out in David G. Martins drug store at East Chestnut and Plum in Lancaster when an oil stove was tipped by a sweeper. Empty digs were used to subdue the fire and no damage occurred.
