GOODVILLE COMMUNITY NOTES AND ACCIDENT REPORTS
Last Sunday Elmer Witmer drove through the village with two ladies. A passenger lost control and struck a telephone pole causing injuries but none serious. The wheel ripped from the pole and dragged one woman a short distance with cuts and bruises. Meanwhile Chas Seyfert Barton Woomert and Levi Shirk were in Mifflin County on a hunting expedition. A small local party hunted near Saw Mill Hill at a cabin and reported good game. Marion Kramer is back from Indiana for a vacation. Mrs Lizzie Woonert and daughters visited her hospital bound mother in Coatesville and reported a successful operation recovery. Wayne Stauffer and wife B W Witmer and wife attended Eliza Steffys funeral in Helen’s last Tuesday. Edwin Shirk carried mail this week while Levi hunted. Telephone crews trimmed limbs to improve service. Horace K Martin attended Institute this week traveling by auto with a full load of passengers.

Collision between rival teams injures two in Rothsville
Last Saturday evening in Rothsville a driving accident occurred as two teams led by Mrs D B Killian and Benjamin Erb collided in the village. Both crews were thrown, shafts broken, horses freed but not run away. Mrs Killian and Mr Erb suffered painful injuries but not serious. Dr Harat of Talmage attended the scene.
