Suspect Arrested in Reading Murder Case
James Watson, alias Joe Ryan, sought in Reading for the murder of Policeman Charles Finn on May 1, was arrested in Nanticoke by Chief of Police Whitman and Sergeant Haggerty. A revolver with matching calibers was found on him. Watson denies knowledge of the crime but is identified as the suspect. he had been seen in Pennsburg hours after the shooting.

Irwin resident John H. Caldwell reports from Panama where he worked as a boss carpenter on the canal project. He says Americans die from yellow fever within about six days and condemns poor sanitary conditions and miserable working quarters.
