Alumni Banquet to Feature Dr Allan S Meth Speaker
The Alumni Association announces Dr Allan S Meth of the Theological Seminary of the Evangelical and Reformed Church will speak at the annual Alumni Banquet on Saturday at 7 p m. Meth, a thirty nine year pastor with ties to Ephrata Fasten and York, is a former General Synod president and long time Rotarian. The event includes a meal served by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Liberty Fire Company with a new Bore Camp project highlighted. Reservations or payments for the $2 banquet plus 25 cent dues should be sent to Charles Irons, Treasurer, New Holland.

Martin, 70, a Terre Hill resident and former blacksmith and merchant, died at 6 15 p.m. at his home. He apprenticed under Elmer Beiler, ran a grocery hardware business, and retired six years ago. Survived by son Warren, granddaughter, brother Harry, sister Emma Sweigart, and several half relatives. Funeral Friday at 2 p.m. from Eckenroth Home for Funerals. Interment Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery.

Franklin E. Bixler dies at 77 in Terre Hill
Franklin E. Bixler, seventy seven, Terre Hill, died at 5 30 p m Wednesday at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a retired plasterer son of the late Emanuel and Amelia Eichelberger Bixler. He and his wife celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in December 1949. Surviving are his wife Sue Killian Bixler and four children Mary wife of Jacob Kieffer Charles Bixler at home and Lydia Ann wife of Harry Rentschler Blue Ball Three grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
