Betty Anna Roy aged five months died one Tuesday afternoon in an unidentified church area. She is survived by her parents Ae Roy and Margaret Frey. Funeral arrangements and burial are planned in the adjoining cemetery.
Isaac Pe Mull Wiang a member of the Reformed Church is survived by his wife Martha Fasnacht before marriage and step siblings John P. of Akron Mrs David H Fasnacht Mrs John Stephan both of Ephrata and Mrs Hettie Weidman of Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2.
Roland Reitz Wolf aged 62 died after an illness at Joseph's Hospital. He was the son of Harry J Wolf and a resident noted in local obituaries. Services and funeral arrangements were announced by the family.

A massive blaze struck the Watt and Shand department store in Lancaster causing extensive damage estimated at over 800000. Firefighters battled the flames from both inside and adjacent buildings as smoke and heat drove them back and workers fought to control the blaze from the exterior.

Strawberries with cream or short cake will headline a menu that also includes layer cakes sandwiches ice cream and coffee. Proceeds support auxiliary activities.
