New Holland marks its Bi Centennal with a weekend of festivities honoring founder John Diffenderfer. The twenty third annual Commencement Week program opens May 20 with a Baccalaureate service at United Brethren Church led by Rev. Frank C. Aungst and church pastors. May 22 features Class Day in the High School Auditorium with music, oration, and gifts. May 24 holds the commencement in the auditorium with Paul A. Mueller, Esq. delivering the main address and diplomas presented by Mrs. Anna R. Barton. The Lions Club awards top scholarship.
