Sudden Death Of George W. Bair Noted Borough Leader
George W. Bair a longtime New Holland leader died Friday afternoon found in a field on South Caster Avenue. He served as deacon elder and Sunday school superintendent at Zeltenreich Church and was president of the Men’s Bible Class at St Stephen Reformed Church. He chaired the Interwhorse Protective Association and was a Republican. Survived by wife Laura J Bushong and children Ira G and Edna J Lieterly plus six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at his home and Zeltenreich Church with interment in the nearby cemetery.
