Son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis John son of Strasburg and formerly of this borough was slightly wounded in action in Germany on April 23, per telegram to his wife Evelyn Younginger. He enlisted September 1943, trained at Camp Edwards Camp McClain and Camp Livingston, went overseas September 1944. Before service he worked at New Holland Meat Market. His wife and son Thomas reside here.

War Memorial Fund To Buy Church Chimes
