More than two hundred Lions from Lancaster County and the Fourteenth District gathered at Harner Theatre for the second annual Pre State Convention Rally including a banquet and musical performances by the Boys Band Eph rata Paradise Warblers New Holland Lions Club Orchestra and the Boys Band of New Holland. Governor David C. Perry of Altoona attended as the state head. The evening featured a parade banquet entertainment and a business session chaired by Regional Director Wohlson with a nominating committee led by H. E. Ressler proposing Paul F. Esbéenshade and Rev George H. Shay for regional director and secretary.
