A fire at the potato chip factory home in Gordonville caused damage when the teseboard beneath a stove ignited at 2 20 p m Tuesday. Intercourse Fire Company responded quickly and extinguished the blaze. Forty eight gallons of chips were cooking at the time.
Edward H. Plank son of Mr and Mrs A W Plank of 366 East Main Street has been elected representative to the Igniciliare Student Council by the Forestry So city at the Pennsylvania State Col ere.

The New Holland Lions Club held its Father and Son Banquet at the American Legion Home with 86 attendees including 35 guests. A sound film of the 1946 World Series entertained, shown in the High School Auditorium, with Robert L. Ressler leading the program and C. W. Richmond Isaac W. Cauller and E. S. Frank on the committee. Russell Frain was elected a club member and nominations were announced for club offices for the coming year.
James R. Richwine, presiding in Dr. Charles Duttenhofer absence, appointed Raymond Gensémer as chairman with Barton Overly and Parke Groff to form the Memorial Day committee.
