Mrs Showalter and family mourn a stroke linked death in Lancaster County. The deceased, 79, survived by two sons Harry in Lancaster and Clayton in New Holland, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A United Brethren Church member, funeral Saturday at 10 a.m. from home and 10:30 a.m. church with interment in the adjacent cemetery. C Henninger in charge.

Annie M Hoffman widow of Tate Harmon S Hoffman died Saturday morning at her son's home in New Holland after a short heart illness. She was in her ninety first year and longtime resident of Nogaville and the borough. Survived by son Howard M Hoffman and grandchildren Chester A Hoffman Bertha S Hoffman Blanche Ni Schaal and great grandchildren Rob Meepee Tas Betty and Nancy Hottin. Funeral held Tuesday at 3 30 p m from the home and at 2 p m at Voganville Union Church with interment in the adjacent cemetery. The family thanks friends for kindness and floral tributes.

Tire Theft Arrest Near New Holland Machine Shop
Three workers at the New Holland Machine Shop observed a man steal a spare tire from a parked machine. The thief loaded the tire into a machine and drove off but left a license number with bystanders. Ralph Preston of Glen Moore, a dealer, reported missing the tire during a weekly sale at Stauffer Sales Company. Barton Myers of near Voganville was arrested and appeared before Squire Elias Groff. he claimed innocence but offered to pay costs to avoid court after witnesses testified.
