Amos Smith dies at 9 30 with funeral arrangements pending interment to follow in nearby cemetery. Sisters Ella and sin nd Aas Bea are noted as survivors in the borough obituary snippet.
Mrs Francies Getz wife of Clayton Getz died suddenly at 12:15 Sunday at her home in Be Voganville from cerebral hemorrhage aged 54. She was a member of Voganville Evangelical church and daughter of the late Emanuel and Christine Sephord Bixler. Survived by husband and children Chester Lancaster Mae wife of Leroy Mull, Shirel wife of Lewis McNally, Hatles of Crate and Clayton, with two brothers ill Union. Entombment in adjoining cemetery.
The sixth annual Young People's Conference of Lancaster County Sunday School Association District No 18 will meet at St Stephen Reformed Church in rough on Saturday March 26 with afternoon and evening sessions. Readings include devotionals by Rev R L Winters and a program of talks, music, installing officers, social hour, and supper.
The poverty social hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary of Conestoga Post No 662 American Legion in the Family Theatre drew a fair crowd last Friday. Entertaining features kept attendees in good humor and the refreshments netted a neat sum for the auxiliary.

Local troop marks over a decade of scouting with an April Friday program in the School Auditorium. Chief Executive Sanford of the Lancaster Co. Council will speak alongside parents and committee members as former scouts are urged to attend. Plans also call for forming a Girl Scout troop and a screening of The Regular Scout starring Fred Thompson, plus a Franklin and Marshall College glee concert to aid cabin debt.
After a brief business session of Camp No 40 P O S of A in the Brubaker Building members visited the home of J H Myers for an evening of social entertainment. The gathering was a decided success with an ample alliance of refreshments enhancing the pleasant event.
The family expresses sincere thanks to numerous neighbors and friends for acts of kindness and sympathy shown during their period of loss.
C R Weaver broker held a second yearly securities sale at the New Holland House drawing many attendees. Prices rose with Conestoga National Bank stock reaching a new high of 690 per share. Purchasers included Theodore C Kinzer, Iir Hoover, Jacob Hartz, Jason Rutter, Harry Harsh and others, with diverse bank and railroad stocks sold to executors and heirs.
Mr and Mrs Frank Showalter and others attended the funeral of Mrs Rosanna Weist. Numerous relatives and friends from Lancaster, Terre Hill, Ephrata, Dover, and Newark visited or stayed with local families over the weekend, sharing meals, calls, and hospitality across town.
