The New Holland Business and Professional Women's Club observed National Women’s Week March 8 to 14 with three featured events. Members attended morning worship at St Stephen Reformed church, heard Prof. F. H Gaige at New Holland High School, and closed with a ham and bean dinner at the American Legion Home plus a public program and radio-style notices. A new New Holland Business Men's Association formed during the period aims to unite local business stalwarts to push cooperative advertising and honest practice. The initial meetings, led by Nathan Rubinson, discussed location, unity, and the plan to draft a constitution, by laws, and committees for membership finance and work.

Twenty five years ago last week Akron High School and their teacher I F Seiverling enjoyed a sleigh ride to our town calling on many friends here. Eli Hess shipped a carload of potatoes at fifty cents per bushel and fifty bushels of apples at one dollar per bushel from the local station.
