At a Tuesday meeting in the Leacock Fire Hall the committee announced a drive to raise resources from Upper Leacock and nearby areas to replace the fire-fighting gear, now seventeen years old. Eight year old Kenneth Zimmerman of Ephrata R D 8 suffered a compound fracture when hit by a car near his home at Route 322 near Hinkletown at 3 45 last Friday. He was admitted to St Joseph's Hospital. The driver Martin of Goodville was questioned as Ephrata Police investigated the accident.
