Services for Maggie M. Martin 70 died at home near Martindale Saturday morning of pneumonia. The Weaverland Mennonite Church held services Tuesday at 9 am with burial in the adjoining cemetery. She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church and is survived by her husband, a daughter Ella wife of Allen W. Martin of near Martindale, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Catherine White Steffy 83 died suddenly of a pulmonary hemorrhage Sunday morning at 8 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Howard Snader in Bowmansville. Widow of Peter Steffy she is survived by daughters Hettie Snader and Amanda Wenrich, Lancaster county Vera Cruz, plus eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday at 9:30 from the late home and 10:15 at Alleghenyville church with burial nearby.

Former President and Chief Justice William Howard Taft died at his Washington home Saturday afternoon aged 72 years 5 months and 23 days. He suffered from arteriosclerosis and apoplexy, ending a career notable for law and arbitration. Taft was the only U.S. leader to serve as both president and chief justice with significant roles in the Philippines Cuba and Panama.

Mission Study Class by Women's Missionary Federation

The March Well Baby Clinic met in Trinity Lutheran Social Rooms Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4 with seventeen children and ten mothers attending. Two new registrations were added Glenn E.
