Miss Elin M Begore has gone to Fort Washington near Philadelphia for several weeks with her sister Mrs F A Rupley. Pi M Martin spent a week on business in West Virginia. N C Henninger esq Christian Bbby and Geo H Ranek of this borough Jos Prank of Greenbank and Sheaffer Sandoe Mrs Barmer and daughter spent four days this week in Philadelphia as witnesses in the United States court. Mars Sandoe accompanied her husband to the city. Martin Murr of Philadelphia returned home after a week in town. Robert Manchline of Phillipsburg N J spent several days in town. Miss Anna Hershey a student at Millersville normal school is spending the week in town with her mother.
Mrs Susanna Lapp, widow of John K Lapp, died at her Bonk station home last Sunday after long heart trouble and dropsy. Funeral at her son's home Tuesday, burial in Gordonville graveyard. Survived by one son and five married daughters.

Mrs Martha Burkhart wife of Martin Burkhart of West Lampeter township died at the county hospital from fatty degeneration of the heart. She was thirty three years old and weighed about 411 pounds. She had been an inmate about two months and required mechanical aids to be moved. Her rapid weight gain increased up to her death.
Lancaster workers at the Armstrong Cork Company walked out on Monday with about fifty still out on Tuesday. The strikers include blockers, rippers and splicers. A union formed about a month ago led to several discharge actions, with the company blaming a work shortage for terminations.
